Hyundai is all set to launch the Alcazar facelift in India next month. The three-row SUV will get a major update to its exterior and interior styling and equipment list. Here’s everything you need to know about it:
When is Hyundai launching the Alcazar facelift?
Hyundai has confirmed that it will launch the Alcazar facelift on September 9 in India. Deliveries are likely to begin by mid to late September.
Will the Alcazar facelift get a new design like Creta?
While the Alcazar facelift will carry over a host of styling cues from the Creta facelift launched earlier this year, it will feature a range of unique elements, such as new H-shaped LED DRLs and a larger grille with horizontal slats. The alloy wheels will feature a new design and the tail-lights are also expected to be slightly different.
What new features will the Hyundai Alcazar facelift get?
The Alcazar facelift will likely use the same dashboard layout as the Creta facelift, including the dual 10.25-inch infotainment screens and the similarly sized digital instrument cluster. A big addition on the safety front will be the inclusion of ADAS. The Alcazar will continue to be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations. Features such as ventilated front seats, voice-controlled panoramic sunroof and a dual camera dash cam setup will be retained.
Will the Hyundai Alcazar facelift get new engine options?
The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options will likely be unchanged, and we don’t expect the addition of a new powertrain. The petrol engine churns out 160hp and 253Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel unit makes 116hp and 250Nm and is paired with a 6MT or a 6AT gearbox. Both get a front-wheel drive configuration.
How much will the Hyundai Alcazar facelift cost?
The pre-facelift Alcazar costs between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Keeping in mind all the aforementioned changes, the facelifted SUV will receive a marginal price hike.
