The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has begun the registration process for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) November 2024 session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the official website at hpbose.org. The last date to register is October 18.
The exam is set to be conducted from November 15 to 26 in two shifts — the first shift will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The examination encompasses seven subjects, including Shastri, medical, non-medical, language teacher, arts, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Applicants will be able to download the admit cards from the official website four days prior to the commencement of the exam. “The Admit Cards will be uploaded on the Board website 4 Days before the Commencement of the Exams. The Candidates will be able to download/print the Admit Cards for entrance to Examination Centre. The Admit Card will not be sent to Candidates separately by post,” reads the official notice by HPBOSE.
HP TET November 2024: How to Apply?
Step 1: Log on to hpbose.org.
Step 2: Search and click on the link – ‘HP TET 2024’ that is available on the homepage.
Step 3: Then click on the ‘register tab’ and register yourself on the portal.
Step 4: An application number will be generated. Candidates need to note that number down.
Step 5: Once the registration process is done, enter that new application number and fill up the form.
Step 6: Fill in all the required details as asked. Upload all the scanned documents.
Step 7: Pay the application fee.
Step 8: View the application form and click on submit.
Step 9: Download the confirmation page. Keep a copy of it for future reference.

Candidates who fall under the general and its sub-categories need to pay Rs 1200. While ST, SC, OBC, and Physically Handicapped (PH) applicants will have to pay Rs 700.
Aspiring teachers who want to work at the elementary school level (Classes 1 through 5) across institutes in Himachal Pradesh must pass the HP TET. This test measures applicants’ teaching skills and a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The HP TET qualification certificate is valid for appointments for the rest of one’s life. The maximum number of attempts to pass the exam and receive the qualification is unrestricted. A candidate who has already passed the test may retake it in order to improve their score.
