With added emissions compliance, the Unicorn has gotten dearer by Rs 4,000.
Honda has updated its massively popular Unicorn 150cc commuter with OBD-2 compliance and even introduced a new warranty programme for the bike. It is now priced at Rs 1,09,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is an increase of Rs 4,082 over the earlier price of Rs 1,05,718 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
- Bike is cosmetically identical to earlier model
- Now can be had with a 10-year warranty
The Unicorn’s air-cooled, 162.7cc, single-cylinder mill is good for 12.9hp at 7,500rpm and 14Nm at 5,500rpm, and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Seat height stands at a very amenable 715mm and with its 13-litre fuel tank brimmed, it weighs 140kg. The Unicorn comes with a single-channel ABS setup, owing to the fact that it still comes with a drum brake at the rear.
Honda has now introduced a special warranty programme for the Unicorn and it comes standard with a 3-year warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty. This means that if a customer so wishes to purchase this extended warranty, a new Unicorn can be had with up to 10 years of warranty coverage.
Honda has recently been updating its entire two-wheeler portfolio to meet the new emissions standards with the SP125, Activa 125 and the Dio being updated recently.
