D Gukesh being crowned the youngest world champion in chess history has created massive uproar within the nation with the President and Prime Minister of India leading the way in congratulating the 18-year-old for his historic achievement.
PM Narendra Modi shared a photo of Gukesh’s winning moment and wrote a special note on his official X handle congratulating the young champion.
“Congratulations to Gukesh D on his remarkable accomplishment. This is the result of his unparalleled talent, hard work and unwavering determination,” he wrote.
“His triumph has not only etched his name in the annals of chess history but has also inspired millions of young minds to dream big and pursue excellence,” he added.

The President of India also took to social media to congratulate Gukesh. With his win, he has made the nation proud and has established the country as a big force within the sport.
“Heartiest congratulations to Gukesh for becoming the youngest player to win the World Chess Championship. He has done India immensely proud. His victory stamps the authority of India as a chess powerhouse,” she wrote.

It did not take long for the former World Champion from India, Vishwanathan Anand to congratulate the young star. He also congratulated Ding Liren on his efforts which have given an entertaining final so far.
The Indian-origin GM from the Netherlands, Anish Giri remained speechless but nonetheless congratulated Gukesh on the win with a short yet simple post.
