Hilton India is marking the International Housekeepers Week between September 10 and September 16, with a unique and heart-warming digital campaign called #YouAreTheSparkleAndShine. This campaign is a pioneering initiative aimed at highlighting the tireless efforts of housekeeping teams in the hospitality industry, making it the first time that these unsung heroes of the industry are being celebrated with a dedicated digital campaign.
Housekeepers play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene, adding personal touches to hotel rooms, and ensuring guests have a comfortable stay. Despite their hard work, they often go unnoticed as the backbone of picture-perfect hospitality experiences. The campaign features a dedicated video showcasing the countless contributions of housekeepers in a hotel. It also invites people from all over India to share their favourite memories or pictures of how a hotel’s housekeeping staff made their stay special.
Speaking on the initiative, Sabu Raghavan, Vice President – Human Resources at Hilton India, emphasised the significance of housekeeping staff, stating, “Hilton India regards its housekeeping staff as one of the most important pillars contributing to the success of our daily operations. Their unwavering commitment to upholding standards, attention to detail in crafting a welcoming atmosphere, and dedication to ensuring each guest’s comfort truly set the tone for the exceptional hospitality experience that we aim to provide. We are thrilled to be launching #YouAreTheSparkleAndShine, in partnership with LBB, one of India’s leading recommendation platforms to hail and applaud the fraternity and hard work of the housekeeping champions.”

The campaign aims to wholeheartedly recognise and appreciate the hard work of these often-overlooked hospitality heroes through interactive engagements like contests, polls, and videos. Hilton India has collaborated with Little Black Book, a lifestyle recommendation platform, to invite consumers from various cities to share their heart-warming and memorable stories involving housekeeping staff. These stories could range from the welcoming experience to unique gestures that go beyond service.
The most inspiring stories will be featured on LBB, and selected entries will receive surprise gift vouchers to be used at any Hilton hotel in India.
