The delay in the declaration of UGC NET Result 2024 has left several students disappointed. Several candidates who appeared for the exam have taken to microblogging site X questioning the delay in the results. Some students have also questioned the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Many users have expressed their concern and anger over the delay in the release of the result. A user named Rajesh Patel wrote in his post, “I think #NTA has forgotten to release the result of #UGC_NET June 2024. Is there anyone who is responsible for aspirants queries.”

Reacting to this post, another user named Zenni asked if there has been any response from any official in this regard. Similarly, Hussain M expressed his concern over the results not being announced even after 40 days. He wrote, “It has been 40 days since we took the exam, but we have not received any information yet. Is NTA right in leaving the students in this state of confusion?”

Another X user, Ramesh Sahu, wrote, “Why have the results not been released yet? @NTA_Exams @mamidala90 please intervene, we are very upset.” Many candidates are demanding accountability and intervention in the matter from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Another user Kshipra posted, “Stop playing with our career and our mental health. Publish result ASAP!” and another user wrote,” The delay in UGC NET results is affecting PhD admissions. How long will you keep playing with the future of Lakhs of students?”

The UGC NET 2024 exam was conducted in computer-based mode between August 21 and September 5. However, the exam had to be postponed and re-conducted due to floods in some places. Even after this, the delay in the exam results has caused widespread anxiety and disappointment among the candidates. The provisional answer key of UGC NET has already been released, and candidates were allowed to raise objections with a fee of Rs 200 per question. But the results are still awaited.

UGC NET has seen several controversies since its inception. The exam held in June was cancelled a day after the paper leak was reported. It was later announced that the paper was leaked on the darknet, raising questions about the integrity of the exam. Now the delay in the results has again brought the exam into the limelight, and candidates are eagerly waiting for the final results.
