The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council is keen to strengthen trade ties with Vietnam and sent a delegation to the country to meet with jewellery businesses and associations. The GJEPC also offered invitations to its upcoming trade show India International Jewellery Show Premiere this August.
The GJEPC held an ‘IIJS Premiere Road Show’ in Vietnam and chairman Vipul Shah visited jewellery manufacturing business PNJ Group to personally extend an invitation to the event, the GJEPC reported on its website. Meeting with PNJ Group’s senior board members Cao Thi Ngoc Dung and Mr Thong, Shah encouraged the jewellery business to travel to Mumbai next month. PNJ Group counts over 500 stores in Vietnam.
The GJEPC also recently met with the Saigon Jewelry Association at an event organised by the latter in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh city to welcome Shah to the country. The event emphasised Vietnam’s growing significance in the global jewellery industry and plans to continue this expansion.
The SJA and GJEPC explored avenues for further collaboration at the event and the SJA shared a sentiment that there exists an immense potential for cooperation and growth between the two entities. The event saw participants from both the SJA and GJEPC discuss market trends and future opportunities.
