“It was a very big and a happy coincidence,” said Sheeba, as she opened up in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama about how the legendary actor and filmmaker Sunil Dutt discovered her and gave her a first break in Bollywood. Reflecting on her journey, Sheeba shared, “In school, I used to do a part-time job of modelling.” Her path to Bollywood began with humble roots, as she explained, “I was the only model in Dubai,” underscoring how unique her position was at the time.

“My images were everywhere,” she continued, describing how her modelling career began to flourish. “Flight magazines and French brands used to advertise over there,” she revealed, adding that her work started gaining attention across prominent platforms.

“He saw that and found me through and through,” Sheeba explained, narrating how Sunil Dutt came across her work and was captivated by her presence. “So, he called me down, and this is how we connected and made a film,” she concluded, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the serendipitous events that changed her life.
A star-studded collaboration
The film in question was the 1991 film Yeh Aag Kab Bujhegi, a project helmed by Sunil Dutt himself. The film, which also starred iconic actress Rekha, revolved around a socially relevant theme addressing corruption and justice, showcasing Dutt’s commitment to meaningful cinema.

Speaking about working with such celebrated actors, Sheeba expressed her awe at the opportunity. “Being part of a film directed by Sunil Dutt and acting alongside legends like Rekha was a dream come true,” she admitted. Sunil Dutt, known for his vision as a filmmaker, not only directed the movie but also played a pivotal role in it.
