Education New Zealand strengthens ties with India, signed collaboration agreements with GIFT City and IIM Ahmedabad, reinforcing commitment to education partnership

Education New Zealand strengthens its commitment to India by signing an Education Cooperation Arrangement with GIFT City and IIM Ahmedabad. The signing of two Education Cooperation Arrangements with Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) and the esteemed Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad by Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ).

This announcement, made during the New Zealand-India Education Connect, represents a major advancement in the promotion of the New Zealand–Indian partnership in education. India is an important educational partner for New Zealand and the new alliances are intended to bolster the two nations’ internationalisation efforts. The partnership with GIFT City creates new opportunities for information exchange and teamwork on India’s greenfield smart city project.

The Education Cooperation Arrangement with IIM Ahmedabad will focus on joint research, mobility and partnership opportunities in the areas of management, commerce, economics and social sciences.

The New Zealand-India Connect hosted a senior-level delegation of Education New Zealand and New Zealand universities, focusing on engagement between New Zealand universities and Indian institutions and partners in Bengaluru, Delhi and Gujarat.
