CUET PG 2025: Key changes in exam pattern, application fee, Check important details here

CUET PG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened registration for CUET PG 2025. Eligible candidates can apply until February 1, 2025. The exam will be held between March 13-31, 2025. CUET PG serves as a central admission platform for postgraduate programs across Central Universities and other participating institutions. Candidates must submit their application by February 1, with fees to be paid by February 2. Correction in applications can be done until February 5. The examination city will be announced in early March, and admit cards will be available four days before the exam.
The NTA has made some significant changes in the CUET PG exam pattern, application fee, and exam cities. Candidates who are looking forward to take the exam can check the reforms made in the pattern and other key details.

Choice of Question Paper Codes
Candidates have the option to select up to four question paper codes from a provided list.
Medium of Comprehension in the General Paper
The comprehension section in the General Paper will be available in either English or Hindi, depending on the candidate’s preference, which must be specified during registration.
Examination Duration
The examination will last for a total of 90 minutes.
Number of Questions
Each question paper will consist of 75 questions.
Marking Scheme

  • Each question is worth 4 marks.
  • Correct responses will earn the candidate 4 marks.
  • Incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 1 mark from the total score.
  • Unanswered or unattempted questions will receive no marks.
  • To respond, candidates must choose the most appropriate option from the available choices.

Changes in CUET PG 2025 exam pattern

Previously the duration of the CUET 2025 exam was 2 hours (120 minutes) which was reduced to 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes) last year. According to the latest exam pattern the time period for the CUET PG 2025 exam has been further reduced to 1.5 hours ( 90 minutes). The number of questions asked in the exam remains the same (75 questions ).

CUET PG 2025: Rise in Application Fees

The application fee for CUET PG 2025 has been increased by Rs 200 for all categories, including General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Non-Creamy Layer (NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). The fee hike applies to up to two test papers within India, with additional papers costing Rs 100 more. For international candidates, the fee has risen by Rs 1,000 for up to two papers and Rs 1,500 for extra papers.

CUET PG 2025: Changes in examination cities

Starting this year, candidates for CUET PG 2025 can select up to four cities of their choice for the exam, an increase from the previous limit of two. Additionally, the number of exam cities within India has been reduced to 285, while international test centers have been expanded. New international centers include locations in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Oslo (Norway), and Frankfurt/Berlin (Germany).
