Citroen C3 Dark Edition exterior design

Expectedly, the C3 Dark Edition gets the all-black treatment on the outside, including a new Perla Nera Black paint finish and dark chrome trim for the chevron logos, lettering, grille, and side mouldings. The 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels have been retained from the standard C3 variants, but the Dark Edition receives exclusive badging underneath the rearview mirrors.

As hinted in Citroen’s recent Dark Edition teaser, the C3 Dark Edition’s cabin mirrors the exterior with a Carbon Black finish for the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, centre console, etc. The blacked-out treatment is accompanied by Lava Red stitching and detailing for some sporty flair, and the AC vents and gear lever get gloss black accents as well.
Extra interior features for C3 Dark Edition
In addition to the all-black colour scheme, the C3 Dark Edition offers goodies like leatherette seats, ambient and footwell lighting, illuminated sill plates, a leatherette-wrapped instrument panel, and a seatbelt cushion.
Citroen C3 Dark Edition engine and gearbox

The C3 Dark Edition features purely cosmetic changes, so it remains mechanically identical to the standard variants. For the Shine variant, C3 buyers can opt for a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine developing 82hp and 115Nm, mated solely to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Those seeking more power and an automatic transmission can go with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit instead, which is good for 110hp and up to 205Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto.

Feel trim joins the C3 lineup

Alongside the debut of the C3 Dark Edition, Citroen has announced the addition of the Feel variant to the hatchback’s model portfolio. Prices for the Feel trim have yet to be revealed, but it’ll likely slot in below the base Live and mid-spec Feel(O) variants. The C3 Feel offers standard equipment like remote keyless entry, powered windows all around, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, LED daytime running headlights, passenger sun visor with vanity mirror, two front airbags, and a spare wheel.
The C3’s Feel(O) trim also gets a couple of new features, namely turn indicators on the wing mirrors and adjustable headrests on the front seats, while the C3 Shine can be had in a new black paint finish.
C3 is now E20 compliant
All variants of the C3 have been certified compliant with E20 fuel (20 percent ethanol, 80 percent petrol) as per government regulations that went into effect on April 1. Moreover, the C3’s entire model lineup also gets a larger 45-litre fuel tank.
