Chinese company to invest $4 mn in Bangladesh’s Cumilla EPZ

Chinese company Tianhui Button (BD) will set up a garment accessories manufacturing industry in Cumilla Export Processing Zone (Cumilla EPZ).

It will invest $4 million to produce 700 million pieces of different kind of buttons like plastic button, resin button, ABS button, metal button and PU leather accessories annually. This foreign company will create employment opportunity for 139 Bangladeshi nationals. 

In presence of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) executive chairman major general Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, an agreement to this effect was signed between BEPZA and Tianhui Button (BD) at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka. Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Ashraful Kabir and chairman of Tianhui Button (BD) Weirong Ni signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, BEPZA said in a press release.

Chinese company Tianhui Button (BD) will invest $4 million to establish a garment accessories factory in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, producing 700 million buttons annually.
The venture will create 139 jobs for Bangladeshi nationals.
The agreement was signed at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka, by BEPZA’s executive chairman and Tianhui Button (BD) chairman.
