After staying in the 20s right through the weekdays, growing into the 30s on Friday and then scoring huge 40s on Saturday and Sunday, Chhaava did go below Rs. 20 crores mark on Monday. Of course, given the kind of run that it was having all this while, there was a wishful thinking that the 20s streak would continue in the second week as well. However, it was always going to be difficult.
Still, what the film collected on Monday was also very good since the drop from Friday was less than 50%. As much as Rs. 19.10 crores came in and that’s the kind of number which is so difficult to come by even on the first day for majority of films post-pandemic. Still, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has managed that on its 11th day and that pretty much shows the kind of acceptance that it has managed amongst the audience.
Meanwhile, the film has now also crossed the Rs. 350 crores milestone. Currently, standing at Rs. 353.61 crores, the historical action drama has been maintaining an average of over Rs. 30 crores ever since its release, which is stupendous. While around Rs. 45 crores more are certainly on the cards in next three days, it has to be seen if the film can do even better that would allow it to enter the Rs. 400 Crore Club by the close of second week.
