Many students have urged the NBEMS to release the NEET PG 2024 counselling timetable immediately. The results were released on August 23.

With the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) yet to announce the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 counselling schedule, several aspirants have expressed disappointment and are demanding the immediate release of the schedule.
The medical entrance examination for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and Diploma programmes took place on August 11 in two shifts at 416 venues across 170 cities. The results were announced on August 23. As many as 2,28,540 candidates took the exam 3 hours and 30 minutes exam this year.
Amid the delay in announcing the counselling schedule, many students have urged the board to release the timetable immediately. Dr Rohan Krishnan of FAIMA said that the MCC must conduct NEET PG 2024 counselling immediately. “Any delay is going to ruin the hard work and mental peace of students who had worked hard!!!! One cannot have a 6 month gap b/w exam date and admission date which has become a norm d/t faulty policy,” he posted. While another aspirant said, “Delaying NEET PG Counselling is Delaying the future of HealthCare.”

Meanwhile, FORDA India has claimed that the counselling process will begin by November 11, 2024. “#NEETPG2024Counselling to begin latest by 11th of November. The 4 month delay makes the timeline for #2025 challenging. The vicious cycle continues for the 3rd year straight. Will this ever end?” FORDA India posted on their X (formerly Twitter) account.
The Supreme Court has recently said it will have a detailed hearing on pleas seeking disclosure of answer keys, and question papers of NEET-PG 2024 to ensure transparency in the selection process, reported PTI. Advocate Tanvi Dubey who represented some students, said the information memorandum was not published and there was no standard operating procedure in place on how exams were conducted. Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra were hearing the matter.
