The protests have been going on in Bihar since the BPSC 70th PT exam was held on December 13. Candidates are constantly demanding cancellation of the PT exam. They have also received the support of several leaders including Tejashwi Yadav, Jan Suraj convenor Prashant Kishore, and MP Pappu Yadav. Many coaching operators in Patna have also stood in support of this demand including Khan Sir and Guru Rahman.
However, the commission has clearly said that the exam will not be cancelled under any circumstances, because there is no evidence of a paper leak. The Patna Police is preparing to take action against anyone spreading rumours.
Patna police said that many teachers are instigating students and inciting them to go against the rules of law. However, they do not have any concrete proof of a paper leak for which coaching operators have been asked to appear at the police station with proof of malpractice.
Educator and YouTuber Khan Sir had earlier joined the protesting BPSC candidates in Patna, demanding a re-examination. He criticised the commission, claiming that the exam was too easy and questioning why crucial evidence, like CCTV footage, was hidden. “We will go to the Supreme Court, we will even tell the President what is happening in Bihar… First, the country’s GDP fell, then the bridge in Bihar collapsed, and now BPSC has collapsed,” Khan Sir had said.
