  3. Greater use of lightweight materials will help reduce weight over the M3 Touring

BMW M3 CS Touring estate teased

The official images of a camouflaged M3 CS Touring show off a reworked front fascia for the estate, bringing it in line with its sedan sibling. The sharper air dams look very reminiscent of the M3 CS, and the same holds true for the larger splitter. BMW may also equip the M3 CS Touring with yellow daytime running lights, a hallmark differentiator between the M division’s regular and CS models.

The side profile of the M3 CS Touring looks mostly unchanged, but it may sport bespoke lightweight wheels with track-focused tyres. The rear doesn’t seem to feature any major changes either, aside from a slightly bigger roof spoiler.

BMW M3 CS Touring: performance upgrades

Under the hood, the BMW M3 CS Touring is expected to add 40hp to the M3 Touring Competition’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six, equating to 543hp routed to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. While the torque output will remain unchanged at 650Nm, the M3 CS Touring will get weight reductions in the form of a lighter titanium exhaust and increased carbon fibre usage throughout the body to improve overall performance. BMW will also tune the M3 CS Touring’s suspension geometry for tighter handling.

Much like previous BMW CS models, the M3 CS Touring will be produced in limited numbers, but it’s unclear if the company will bring the high-performance estate to India. The last BMW M model launched in India was the seventh-generation M5 in November 2024, which was displayed alongside the M4 and M2 at Auto Expo 2025.
