Aston Martin will announce India prices for the new Vanquish in January 2025, and we expect the flagship model to be priced upwards of Rs 6 crore, ex-showroom, without options.

The all-new Aston Martin Vanquish is powered by an uprated version of the brand’s 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine; it now produces 835hp and a massive 1,000Nm of torque. This denotes an increase of 110hp and 100Nm torque over the now-discontinued DBS’ V12 unit.

All that output is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox with an electronic shift-by-wire system. Aston Martin claims a 0-100kph of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 345kph. The Vanquish’s 21-inch forged alloy wheels are shod in bespoke Pirelli P Zero tyres, and it comes fitted with 410mm front and 360mm carbon ceramic disc brakes.

While the headlights and grille design take inspiration from the DB12, with the bonnet featuring two large air vents, the rear has quad exhausts and vertically stacked LED tail-lights that form a unique pattern and are separated by a darkened panel that houses the Aston Martin emblem.

The interior of the new Vanquish will be familiar to those who have spent time in newer Astons. However, there is a new centre console housing the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also has a similar-sized digital driver’s display, a 1,170-watt 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a wireless phone charger and an ADAS suite.

The British brand has yet to take the wraps off the Vantage Roadster facelift, though the refreshed coupe was revealed in February this year, and the updated drop-top is expected to be showcased for the first time early in 2025. An India launch is expected in the middle of next year, and prices could be in the Rs 5 crore region.

Besides the convertible roof, expect the overall styling of the Roadster to be in line with the Vantage coupe and similar on the inside as well, from the features list to the layout.

Mechanically, the Vantage Roadster is expected to retain the coupe’s Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The unit, producing 665hp and 800Nm of peak torque, helps the coupe sprint from 0-100kph in 3.5 seconds, so expect the Roadster to be 0.1-0.2 seconds slower due to the added weight of the folding roof.
