With several Asian countries easing their visa guidelines and making travel visa-free for Indians, there has been a noticeable change in the travel patterns of the Indian travellers, who are showing heightened interest in exploring Asian destinations.
A notable 130% surge in flight searches for Hong Kong was observed by Travel Fintech Scapia in the last quarter of 2023. The platform also saw a 70% rise in searches for Bangkok and a 50% increase in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
At the same time, the platform also saw a remarkable rise in stay searches with Colombo, Sri Lanka, leading with an astonishing 550% increase, followed by Hong Kong’s 150% uptick and Bangkok contributing with a 50% spike in the last quarter of 2023.
