NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission on Tuesday released a notification regarding the SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2023. As per the notice, candidates who have appeared in Skill Test are advised to submit their option-cum-preference for post(s)/ organization(s) through their respective Candidates Login on the website of SSC at ssc.nic.in.
SSC Steno Grade C & D option-cum-preference tab for post(s)/organisation(s) are activated on the official website and will remain active during the period from January 30 to February 2, 2024.
The commission conducted the computer based examination of Stenographer Grade C & D 2023 on October 12 & October 13, 2023. The result of Paper-I was announced on November 24, 2023. Further, the SSC has also conducted Skill Test of the said examination on January 3 and January 4, 2024.
“Candidates may please also note that Option-cum-Preference can be revised only during the aforesaid period and the Option-cum-Preference last submitted by the candidate will be treated as final. Candidates who fail to exercise their Option-cum-Preference during the aforesaid period, shall not be given any further opportunity for submission of their Option-cum-Preference and such candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list/final selection,” reads the official notification.

How to submit SSC Steno Grade C & D option-cum-preference?
Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, submit your login details like Username and Password.
Step 3: Now those candidates who appeared in the Skill Test can submit their option-cum-preference.
Step 4: Once the details are filled, save and submit the form.
Step 5: Download the final page and get its printout for further reference.

PwBD candidates should prioritise only those post(s) recognised as suitable for their disabilities. The allocation of posts will follow the guidelines outlined in the examination notice, based on ‘merit-cum-preference of posts.’ If a PwBD candidate is selected for a post not identified as suitable for their disabilities, the concerned User Organization reserves the right to cancel their candidature.
