Temple food is often considered to be pious, sattvik and free from any adulteration. But as per the latest media reports, Laddoo Prasad of Sri Venkateshwara Temple, Tirupati, famously known as Tirupati Laddoo uses beef tallow, fish oil, and palm oil. Scroll down to read the details.
As per reports, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recently alleged that substandard ingredients and animal fat were used in making the famous Tirupati laddu, during the previous YSRCP government.

In response to which, Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRC party had denied the charges.
Naidu while addressing an NDA legislature party meeting also said that even Tirumala laddu was made with substandard ingredients, they used animal fat in place of ghee.
The CM mentioned that pure ghee is now being used and everything has been sanitised at the temple, leading to improved quality.
Later, YSRCP leader and former TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy called. Naidu’s allegation as “malicious” and said that the TDP supremo would “stoop to any level for political gain”.
Taking to X, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh targeted the Jagan Mohan Reddy administration over the issue. Take a look at the post.

“The Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala is our most sacred temple. I am shocked to learn that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy administration used animal fat instead of ghee in the Tirupati Prasadam,” he said.
As per Lokesh, the act is nothing less than disrespect of religious sentiments of crores of devotees.
