Akhil Sachdeva, known for his soulful tracks like O Sajana, Mere Liye, Tere Naal, and Galliyan, has made a significant mark in both the film and OTT music scenes. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Akhil shared his thoughts on the growing presence of OTT platforms and their impact on the music industry.

When asked about his experience singing for OTT projects compared to traditional film songs, Akhil expressed his gratitude for the immense success his songs have received, whether they appear in films or OTT series. “All my songs in the films that we’ve already mentioned have been super successful, and I’m glad that God has blessed me with the same vibe and success in the OTT platform as well,” he said.
Akhil noted that his music has gained a massive cult following in both realms. He explained that he doesn’t differentiate between the platforms when creating his music. “I never make any song for a specific project or platform. I compose music for the love of music and for the love of song. I make songs with pure intention,” he added.
According to Akhil, whether the song is destined for a film, an OTT show, or a single release doesn’t influence his approach. He emphasized that the focus should always be on creating beautiful music and melodies. “I make song for a song. Mai gaane ko pure intention ke sath banata hu. Mai yeh nhi sochta ke usko OTT mei aana hai ya film mei release karna hai aur Single mei release karna hai album mei nahi. The song should be made with intention of making a beautiful song, a beautiful melody. That’s up to you and for your time and your luck to choose this but jab banana hota hai gaana, I think aapko sirf gaana banana chahiye. Not thinking of the platform that’s coming out, at least I never do that,” he stated.
Akhil’s philosophy reflects his deep love for music, as he believes that the platform where the song will be released is secondary. His approach to creating music for both films and OTT platforms demonstrates his commitment to quality and authenticity in his craft.
