Cricket enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the return of Virat Kohli to the cricket field, following his absence from the first two Tests against England. The former Indian cricket team captain’s break has sparked speculation about the reasons behind his decision.
AB de Villiers confirms Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy; says, “It’s family time and things are important to him”
While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) urged the public to respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this period, his former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers recently shed light on the matter during a YouTube live session. Responding to inquiries about Kohli’s condition, de Villiers told fans, “All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is happy.”
The South African cricketer shared snippets of his conversation with Kohli, where the latter expressed the need to prioritize family at this juncture. Confirming the speculation, de Villiers revealed, “Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision.”

On the film front, Anushka Sharma is gearing up for the release of Chakda Xpress. The film will see her play the lead role of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. It will release on Netflix. Backed by her brother Karnesh Sharma’s production house Clean Slate Filmz, the film also stars Triptii Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee and Babil Khan.
