Ajay Devgn, Yo Yo Honey Singh, director Raj Kumar Gupta and producers Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak attended the launch of the song ‘Money Money’ from Raid 2. The event was unique as it was held in the M2M RoRo ferry. The boat ventured from the coast of Mumbai and headed towards Mandwa Jetty near Alibaug. While the boat was on motion, the dance number was launched.
Raid 2 ‘Money Money’ song launch: Yo Yo Honey Singh reveals he made Ajay Devgn wait for 4 hours on sets of ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’: “Mujhe laga mujhe maar padne waali hai!”
Yo Yo Honey Singh said, “I want to thank Bhushan ji for this opportunity. He has always believed in me. I just have one complaint – he always calls me for song at the last minute. You won’t believe but I composed Ajay sir’s last song ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’ from Singham Returns (2014) in just 24 hours! Thankfully, for this song, we got more than 24 hours. Raj Kumar Gupta sir, Kumar Mangat Pathak sir and Abhishek Pathak came to Delhi to meet me.”
Honey Singh continued, “I am a fan of not just Ajay Devgn the actor but also Ajay Devgn the human being. I want to share a story. I arrived four hours late on the sets of ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’. Mujhe laga uss din mujhe maar padne waali hai! But Ajay Devgn sir met me very warmly. I became an even bigger fan than him.”
He then said, “On the sets of Raid 2, I came on time (laughs)! Maine apni kaafi galtiyan sudhari hai. I have learned a lot from them, especially if you want to have a long run in the industry.”
Bhushan Kumar assured, “This film has a great situation for songs. It’s not like we, as a music label, are trying to push for songs forcefully in the film. We were organically able to incorporate two romantic songs and two dance tracks. All the songs go well with the story.”
Raid 2 releases in cinemas on May 1.
