OSSC hall tickets out for JEO and JA mains 2025 – exam on April 13

OSSC 2025 mains admit card: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has officially released the admit cards for the mains written examination for the posts of Junior Enforcement Officer (JEO) and Junior Accountant (JA) 2023. Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary stage can now access their hall tickets through the official OSSC website – www.ossc.gov.in.
This development comes under Advt. No. 5130/OSSC dated December 29, 2023. A total of 191 candidates have been declared eligible to appear in the mains examination scheduled to be conducted on April 13, 2025, in two sessions – from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The recruitment drive aims to fill 31 vacancies, including 30 for the post of JEO and 1 for JA.
Main written examination structure and subjects
The mains examination carries a total of 200 marks and includes two sections: Language (Odia and English) and General Studies. The syllabus for these subjects is detailed in Annexure-C of the original advertisement. Further particulars such as the number of questions, mode of examination, and duration will be released through a notice on the official website in due course.
Additionally, both posts require candidates to appear for a Computer Skill Test, and those applying for the JA post must also attempt a Mathematics Test. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% in both the Computer Skill Test and Mathematics Test to qualify for the next stage.
Certificate verification and selection process
Following the mains examination, candidates will be shortlisted for certificate verification in a ratio of two times the number of vacancies advertised for each post and category. If only one vacancy exists for a post, three candidates may be shortlisted for the verification round. Final selection will be based on the marks secured in the main written exam and qualifying performance in the required tests.
Candidates must produce original documents including academic certificates, mark sheets, caste certificates, and the signed copy of their OSSC online application. Failure to appear for any stage of the recruitment process will result in disqualification.
Mode of examination and marking scheme
OSSC may conduct the exams through OMR or CBRE (Computer Based Recruitment Examination). If CBRE is held in multiple sessions, a normalisation process, as detailed in Advisory Notice No. 2444/OSSC dated September 2, 2021, will be applied. The exams will carry negative marking, where ¼ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer with four options, and ? for those with three.
