The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season commenced tonight at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens, with Shah Rukh Khan setting the stage for an electrifying evening. The Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner led a grand opening ceremony, bringing glamour, energy, and excitement to the tournament’s 18th edition. Fans enjoyed a thrilling blend of entertainment and cricket, further amplified by a dazzling performance from Disha Patani.

Disha Patani lit up the stage with her electrifying dance performance, mesmerizing the packed stadium with her flawless moves and irresistible charm. She grooved to the viral hit ‘Arey Pagol Hoye Jabo Ami,’ leaving the audience in awe.
Disha Patani kept the momentum high as she set the pace with the title track of Malang, never letting her energy waver. Effortlessly captivating the crowd, she combined grace with high-octane choreography. Later, she joined Karan Aujla on stage for one of his tracks, raising the excitement even further.
For her performance, Disha dazzled in a shimmering two-piece ensemble. She wore a sparkling silver bralette adorned with sequins, beadwork, and crystals, featuring delicate spaghetti straps and fringe details that moved gracefully with her. Paired with a matching low-waist skirt encrusted with the same dazzling embellishments, her look exuded glamour. She completed the outfit with glittering, arm-length gloves, while her softly waved hair and confident presence added the perfect finishing touch.
With Shah Rukh Khan at the forefront and Disha Patani adding glamour, IPL 2025 began with a spectacular opening. The season starts on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens. This edition will feature 74 matches across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers, with 10 strong teams divided into two groups.
The much-awaited final is scheduled for May 25 at Eden Gardens, which will also host Qualifier 2 on May 23. The tournament guarantees an exciting journey filled with thrilling cricket action and star-studded highlights.
