PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025 Registration: The PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2025 application process has begun for students who have cleared at least class 10. Those who completed graduation or diploma courses (including online/distance learning) are also eligible to apply. However, the family income (self, spouse, parents) of the applicants must be below Rs 8 lakh annually. Candidates must not employed full-time or enrolled in full-time education.

The internship will be held for a duration of 12 months. Those selected will get a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month and a one-time grant of Rs 6,000 upon joining. They will also get insurance coverage under Government of India schemes. Applicants must also be between 21 to 24 years, as of March 12, 2025.

1 Crore Internships Over Five Years

The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, a Government of India initiative, will provide internship opportunities for youth in India’s top 500 companies. This programme will offer young people exposure to real-world business environments across various sectors, helping them develop valuable skills and gain work experience. The scheme aims to provide 1 crore internships over five years.

“PM Internship Scheme, launched by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, aims to provide young individuals aged 21-24 years from low-income households with 12-month internship opportunities in the country’s top 500 companies. The pilot phase targets 1.25 lakh youth, with a five-year goal to facilitate internships for one crore young individuals. This initiative is not just about internships; it’s about building a future where every youth has the chance to succeed,” states the official notice.
