Commerce minister Cham Nimul said that the growth indicates the country’s broader commitment to digital transformation, as outlined in the Pentagonal Strategy Phase I and the Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021-2035.
“By strengthening its institutional capacity, the ministry aims to provide more dedicated and targeted support to the industry, ensuring that businesses and consumers alike can fully leverage the opportunities presented by digital transformation,” she was quoted as saying by domestic media reports.
Cambodia’s e-commerce market value reached nearly $1.12 billion last year and is projected to reach $1.81 billion in 2029, growing at a CAGR of 9.98 per cent, a new report by the ministry of commerce revealed.
