The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has acknowledged a discrepancy in the Science question paper for the Class 10 exams held on Saturday. The discrepancy was noticed by students and teachers after the question papers were distributed at 3,111 exam centers across the state. It was found that Set-C of the Science question paper had a total of 96 marks instead of the required 100. However, the other three sets for the same subject contained questions worth the full 100 marks, as reported by PTI.

BSE President Srikant Tarai addressed the issue, stating, “A question carrying 4 marks was missing in the ‘C’ set question paper. The Board will look into the matter and the students will not be affected; we will take necessary measures during the evaluation of answer sheets.”

In addition, Tarai confirmed that 11 students were caught using unfair means during the exam. “A decision regarding them will be made by a committee later,” he added.
