In a newly released promo of KBC, Amitabh Bachchan read out the tweet on stage and asked the audience, “Usme kuch gadbadi hai kya? (Is there anything wrong with it?)” A concerned fan immediately responded, “Kahan jana hai? (Where do you want to go?)” To this, the veteran actor replied, “Jaane ka samay aa gaya hai matlab… (It’s time to go that means…),” prompting another fan to exclaim, “Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte! (You can’t go anywhere!).”
The Real Reason Behind the Tweet
Addressing the speculation, Amitabh Bachchan clarified that the tweet had a far more mundane explanation. “Arre bhaisahab, humko kaam pe jaane ka samay aa gaya hai (Sir, it’s time to go to work),” he said, putting the rumors to rest. His lighthearted response was met with laughter and applause from the audience.
A Tweet Left Unfinished Due to Sleep
Amitabh Bachchan further elaborated that he often wraps up KBC shoots late at night, sometimes reaching home between 1 to 2 AM. He revealed that the tweet was left incomplete simply because he dozed off while writing it. “Raat ko 2 baje humko yahan se chhutti milti hai toh pahunchte pahunchte raat ke 1-2 baj jaate hain. Toh voh likhte likhte humko neend aa gayi. Toh vahin tak reh gaya. Jaane ka waqt… So gaye. (I get free from here at 2 AM, sometimes I reach home at 1-2 AM. I dozed off while writing that. ‘Time to go’… and I fell asleep.),” he explained, reassuring his fans that there was no deeper meaning behind the post.
