Anil Goyal told Fibre2Fashion, “We have decided to showcase our products in Bharat Tex 2025 for international and domestic buyers. Around 22 companies are present in the annual event. Their products can compete with any manufacturer as these companies have invested heavily in latest modern weaving machines.”
Goyal said that Ichalkaranji is well known in the textile industry. However, it is still lacking as a brand in India and the world at large. We produce weaving fabric of the best quality. Brand Ichalkaranji will pay dividends to the industry.
At Bharat Tex 2025 in New Delhi, Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra’s burgeoning textile hub, displayed its diverse and high-quality fabric products.
With investments in modern weaving technologies, Ichalkaranji’s companies are poised to compete globally, aiming to enhance their brand presence in international markets and capitalise on increasing domestic and international demand.
The textile hub produces around 12 million metres of weaving fabric on a daily basis. It mainly caters to the domestic market and supplies fabric for several products including shirting, suiting, sarees, falls, and even for technical textiles. Indian garment exporting units also consume fabric made in Ichalkaranji, but it is not exporting fabric directly to international buyers.
Ichalkaranji houses 15,000 airjet, 3,000 rapier, and 3,000 auto looms in addition to 60,000 shuttle power looms. Goyal said that Ichalkaranji is emerging very fast in the weaving fabric segment. Every year, thousands of modern looms are being set up in the town.
He proudly said, “We are considered the most efficient textile hub in the sizing process. It is a preparatory process for the production of weaving fabric. Mainly, sizing is required in finer count cotton yarn to produce premium fabric.”
Ichalkaranji’s fabric manufacturing companies are showcasing their products in hall no 5G at Bharat Tex at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Goyal commented, “We are getting very encouraging responses from visitors in the Ichalkaranji pavilion, which is a larger conclave of stalls of Ichalkaranji’s fabric manufacturing companies. All manufacturers are happy to see the footfall at their stall. It will translate into good business leads in the coming months.”
