Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh visits Bharat Tex at Bharat Mandapam

Bharat Tex 2025, one of the world’s largest textile expos, commenced today with Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, visiting the event at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Running from February 14 to 17, this flagship event, organised by a consortium of 12 Textile Export Promotion Councils and backed by the Ministry of Textiles, showcases the full spectrum of the textile industry, from raw materials to high-end fashion.

The event is expected to draw over 5,000 exhibitors and participants from more than 120 countries, demonstrating India’s expanding role in the global textile trade. With themes focused on resilient global value chains and textile sustainability, Bharat Tex 2025 features a comprehensive agenda including trade fairs, global conferences, seminars, and high-level B2B and G2G meetings.

“Visited the magnificent pavilions of the country’s largest Global Textile Expo #BharatTex2025 held at Bharat Mandapam which are telling the new story of India’s creativity and self-reliance through garments, home textiles, handicrafts, handlooms and numerous innovative and sustainable products. Our resolution – Made in India, Weaved for the world,” Minister Singh said in a tweet on X.

Key attractions include 70 conference sessions with international experts discussing topics ranging from technical textiles to sustainable fashion, and strategic discussions on global trade shifts and AI-driven manufacturing. Additionally, the event will host fashion shows, trend forecasts, and cultural performances, highlighting the fusion of India’s rich textile heritage with modern trends.

The event’s robust lineup and extensive international participation underscore India’s commitment to becoming a premier global sourcing hub for textiles, adhering to its 5F vision—from Farm to Fibre, Fabric, Fashion, and Foreign Markets. Bharat Tex 2025 not only promises to be a key influencer in future textile trends but also a celebration of the industry’s vibrant past and dynamic future.
