Formula One: Ferrari’s SF-25

Ferrari will unveil their SF-25 on February 18 ahead of the 2025 Formula One season. The new Ferrari car follows the naming convention that has been in place for the last two seasons, with Ferrari’s 2023 and 2024 machines called the SF-23 and SF-24 respectively.

The F1 car manufacturer posted a tease on their social media handles.

Ferrari’s test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was interrupted by a crash for Lewis Hamilton, who has been sharing track time with teammate Charles Leclerc.

Helping Pirelli with the development of their 2026 tyres, Ferrari pair Hamilton and Leclerc continued to share a 2024-specification SF-24, with Piastri at the wheel of McLaren’s MCL60 from 2023.

Going forward, Ferrari are also due to take part in a tyre test for Pirelli at the Spanish Grand Prix venue next week.

Hamilton and Leclerc will get their hands on Ferrari’s new car in a shakedown at Fiorano on February 19, before the F1 field head to Bahrain for pre-season testing from February 26-28.

Hamilton has made the switch to Ferrari for 2025 after more than a decade at Mercedes, where he won six of his seven world titles – the other being achieved in the early stages of his career with McLaren.

Over the last couple of weeks, content from Hamilton’s arrival at Ferrari’s Maranello factory, as well as initial outings at their dedicated Fiorano test track and in Barcelona, has sparked interest around the world.

Traditionally, teams hold their F1 car launches swith individual events this time of the year ahead of the campaign getting underway. However, to mark the start of the sport’s 75th anniversary year, in 2025 a groundbreaking season launch event will be held which will bring all 10 teams together to reveal their new liveries and kick off the campaign in style.

All 10 teams – McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Alpine, Haas, Racing Bulls, Williams and Kick Sauber – will be in attendance at the F1 2025 launch, along with all 20 drivers and all 10 team principals.
