Shahid Kapoor starrer has seen an ordinary weekend at the box office. The start of the film was as it is quite low at Rs. 5.78 crores and then growth over the weekend was just about okay, as a result of which the collections have managed to go past the Rs. 20 crores mark but that’s about it.
The film should have actually opened to double digits at the bare minimum and here it didn’t manage to achieve that even on Sunday, which pretty shows how much of a struggle it has seen ever since its release. This is now actually a story of every other film which is arriving now and whether it has stars or no stars, the results are just the same all over. Sky Force still managed to take an opening but otherwise the year so far has been quite poor for the film industry in general with theatrical releases struggling across board.
On Sunday, the action drama reached Rs. 7.75 crores* and that’s hardly much of a jump when compared to Friday. The total of the film stands at Rs. 20.14 crores* and unless there is something miraculous on Monday, the collections will get into that Rs. 3-3.50 crores range at best. This means that the first week total will go past the Rs. 30 crores mark but the lifetime will close in the vicinity of Rs. 40 crores, which will be a sub-par result for the film, which certainly deserved better than this.
