Both the Hero and KTM are comfortable ADVs powered by liquid-cooled engines.
Hello, should I buy the KTM 250 Adventure or wait for the Hero Xpulse 421 for daily commutes in a hilly area?
Vishal Gurung, Gangtok
Autocar India says: The bigger Hero Xpulse is still some time away, so you may be in for quite a wait. If you want something sooner, the new Hero Xpulse 210 will go on sale by mid-January. As for the KTM 250 Adventure, it is also due to be replaced soon with a new-gen model, so we’d suggest that you wait in case that bike interests you.
Another option is the new Royal Enfield Scram 440, which has a bigger, more powerful engine, a six-speed gearbox, and claimed improvements in refinement levels. The Scram 440 is due to launch in January 2025, and it promises to offer a relaxed, torquey riding experience. So, it might be a good match for your daily commutes in a hilly region.
