Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Pushpa 2, which hit theatres on December 5, continues to dominate the box office. The film has become the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2024, and its earnings saw a massive surge on its second Saturday. According to Sacnilk, the film raked in Rs 62.3 crore in India nett on Day 10, marking a substantial 71.15% jump from Day 9, when it earned Rs 36.4 crore.
Breaking down the Day 10 earnings across different languages, the film earned Rs 46 crore in the Hindi-speaking regions, Rs 13 crore in Telugu, Rs 2.5 crore in Tamil, Rs 0.45 crore in Kannada, and ₹Rs 0.35 crore in Malayalam. This brings the total domestic collection of Pushpa to Rs 824.5 crore nett. The breakdown by language shows Rs 498.1 crore in Hindi, Rs 262.6 crore in Telugu, Rs 44.9 crore in Tamil, Rs 5.95 crore in Kannada, and Rs 12.95 crore in Malayalam.
On the global front, Pushpa 2 has grossed Rs 1190 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 picks up where its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), left off. The much-anticipated sequel continues the story of red sandalwood smuggling, with Allu Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The film also features seasoned actors such as Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
