The final placement drive is underway at the country’s top management colleges, including IIMs. The final placement season at IIM Mumbai which commenced on November 25, has concluded.
Microsoft offered the highest salary package of Rs 54 lakh per annum. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola offered a record stipend of Rs 5 lakh for a two-month summer internship.
This year, 78 companies participated in the final placement season of IIM Mumbai, extending a total of 373 job offers. These companies include prominent names like Amazon, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola.
According to a report, a 15% increase in the average stipend has been recorded in the placements held at IIM Mumbai. In the job placements, the top 10% of the batch secured an average salary package of Rs 48 lakh. Concurrently, the top 50% of the batch received an average salary package of Rs 35 lakh.
IIM Mumbai is ranked sixth in the NIRF ranking 2024. Formerly known as the National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering (NITIE Mumbai) and later as the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NIIE), it was renamed as the Indian Institute of Management in 2023, becoming the 21st IIM in the country.
The registration for admission to the MBA course at IIM Mumbai has opened from November 4. The last date for registration is January 31, 2025. Personal interviews for admission will be conducted in March-April 2025.
