“Meet our Cara Top, made from recycled Poly Chiffon,” announced Doodlage on Facebook. “Did you know? One kilogram of plastic bottles can be transformed into 6.45 meters of fabric! Each Cara Top recycles around 10 plastic bottles. Shop sustainable, shop smart!

Doodlage’s ‘Cara Top’ features a bold, abstract print and has a playful, loose silhouette. The brand aims to fuse sustainable production with design to engage shoppers to choose sustainable garment options.

“Every material that is created, every resource that is consumed extra for producing products that are discarded before their time, or garments that don’t even reach shelves: I don’t think enough people know about the impact of fashion,” Doodlage’s founder Kriti Tula told Lifestyle Asia. “The industry itself has worked through the years to make consumers disconnected from the impact of fashion in itself. I think one extremely important thing is for people to start researching a lot more as to how their consumer habits or consumption habits can change the world.”

Doodlage describes itself as “India’s most loved eco-fashion label,” according to its website. The brand is run by founder Kriti Tula, who launched the label with Paras Arora in New Delhi in 2013. The internet first brand retails from its direct to customer e-commerce store as well as with an array of multi-brand retailers.
