Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat on Friday said that the suspense over the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s face will end soon as caretaker CM Eknath Shinde will take a big decision in the next 24 hours. He further stated that whenever Sinde has to make an important decision, he goes to his native village.

The Shiv Sena leader also asserted that the name of the Maharashtra CM will be declared by midnight and the oath-taking will take place on December 2. Shirsat further added that Shinde will not take any position in the Union cabinet as his interest lies in Maharashtra politics.

“The leaders of Maharashtra met at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. The decision on the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be taken by PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah,” Shirsat was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

“The name of the Maharashtra CM should be declared by today midnight. I have the information that the oath-taking ceremony will be on December 2. Eknath Shinde will not go to Delhi. He is more interested in Maharashtra politics than Delhi politics,” he added.

Shinde Heads For His Village

Amid ongoing speculations over Maharashtra government formation, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde left for his native village in Satara on Friday.

Shinde left for his native village after arriving from Delhi earlier in the morning. Describing the Delhi meeting as “good and positive”, Shinde’s sudden departure halted the talks causing the key Mahayuti meet to be called off.
