Elan hosts fashion show for Raw Mango and Aurus Jewels in Ahmedabad

Luxury womenswear brand Raw Mango joined forces with multi-brand desi fashion retailer Elan to showcase its new collection ‘Garland’ on an outdoor runway at Ahmedabad’s Kanoria Centre for Arts with fine jewellery brand Aurus Jewels.

“The fabulous Raw Mango show presented by Elan at the Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad,” announced Elan on Facebook, sharing photos of the fashion show. The event took place in a verdant garden setting to highlight the natural inspirations behind the collection.
 
Raw Mango’s founder and designer Sanjay Garg spoke at the event about how the architecture and heritage of Ahmedabad continues to inspire his design process, Elle India reported. The brand’s latest collection referenced the artistry of floral torans, Mauryan art, and malas, interpreted into womenswear with Raw Mango’s signature paired down take on opulence. The presentation also featured a number of garments from Raw Mango’s upcoming ‘Agama’ collection and its ‘Children of the Night’ line.
 
Aurus Jewels’ fine jewellery completed the occasion wear looks with pieces from its ‘Nila Baug Court Jewellery’ line. The brand’s co-founder Puja Shah expressed her joy at working with Raw Mango and how the collaboration enabled the label to explore new design ideas. The fashion show celebrated both contemporary Indian design and the country’s rich heritage while highlighting synergies between India’s art and fashion worlds.
