The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh has started the registration for pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for the session of 2024-25.
Students enrolled across the schools of Uttar Pradesh are being presented with a great new opportunity to continue their studies without worrying about finances. According to the reports of Local18, scholarships are being organised by the Uttar Pradesh government for which the online application process has commenced. The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh has started the registration for pre-matric and post-matric scholarships for the session of 2024-25. As per the reports of Local18, the application is to be done according to the eligibility and before the last date. The students will be provided a scholarship according to their course, added the information. To apply for the scholarship, the students can visit scholarship.up.gov.in, the official website. Keep in mind, that the student should be enrolled in a recognised institution or school of the state.
After completing the online application, the hard copies of all the required documents, high-school and intermediate mark sheets and the registration form, are to be sent to the concerned institute, under the stipulated period. The last date for the hard copy submission is January 5, 2025. If the students mistakenly made an error while applying, they will be able to make corrections from January 29 to February 5, 2025.
According to the District Backward Class Social Welfare Officer Chetan Singh, the applications for the OBC Tenth Scholarship (except for classes 11 and 12) have started. The last date for the same is November 20, 2024.
To fill out the UP scholarship form, the students must submit the following documents:
Aadhaar / PAN card, income certificate, birth certificate, residence certificate, previous year’s mark sheet, fee receipt, scanned copy of bank passbook, caste certificate (if applicable), passport size photo, enrolment number and others. If they fail to bring any of the listed documents, their applications are at risk of rejection.
