Solo Sikoa & The Bloodline defeat Roman Reigns & The Usos (via Pinfall)
Crown Jewel 2024 began with ‘The Bloodline’ war to kick things off. But there were signs of distrust between ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns and The Usos. Jey Uso looked to start things off against Tama Tonga. The former Intercontinental champion had also showcased some of the vintage tag-team action alongside his brother Jimmy Uso as they looked to take control.
But Jey Uso did not show similar vibes when it came to Roman Reigns as The Bloodline looked to take advantage of the division as Solo Sikoa delivered two consecutive Samoan Spikes to pin Roman Reigns to take the win.
Following the match, The Bloodline look to deliver more punishment to their opponents. Surprisingly, Sami Zayn made his entry and seemingly made his choice to support his former teammates and attack Solo Sikoa, with the new Tribal Chief cornered, Zayn made the switch to attack Roman Reigns as well, leaving the situation in a state of uncertainty.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair Defend Women’s Tag Team Championship (via Pinfall)
The Women’s tag-team action was up next. Iyo Sky took control at the start with some of her high-flying moves that impressed the Saudi Arabian crowds. But soon after the powerhouses looked to take control, with Chelsea Green enduring most of the punishment.
Amidst the Chaos, Green somehow made the tag to Piper Nevin who looked to deliver the Viper Bomb. But Cargill looked to be cheeky as he placed Green underneath instead. Nevin looked to go once more at the second rope but Cargill displayed her strength by lifting her on her shoulders while Bianca Belair went on the top rope to deliver a flying clothesline to take the win and defend their titles.
Seth Rollins beats Bronson Reed (via Pinfall)
The contest between Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed did not take long to begin as Rollins went right after Reed when the latter made his entrance. Nonetheless, Reed looked to take control at the start of the match, but failed to get the finish, as he was playing with his opponent for most of the time. Reed, however, went on to regret it, in the end.
As Bronson Reed looked to use the steel steps to attack Rollins, the latter took advantage and attacked his knee to flip the momentum in his favour. ‘The Architect,’ then proceeded to go on and attack Reed with multiple curb stomps and ended it with the Curb Stomp off the top rope to get the win via pinfall.
As Rollins looked to make his way out of the ring, Reed stood up to show that he was down but not out, showing that there could be more to the rivalry in the future.
Liv Morgan defeats Nia Jax (via Pinfall)
Liv Morgan had arguably her toughest test when she took on Nia Jax. The latter began on a dominant note, using her size to her advantage in the contest. As she kept dominating the contest, Morgan’s crew of Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez made their way into the ring while the Money in the Bank winner, Tiffany Stratton made her way and looked to cash in her briefcase.
After Jax’s interference, the cash-in process was interrupted, resulting in chaos. Morgan and Rodriguez looked to confront Stratton followed by Jax bulldozing the trio. Just as Jax looked to close out the contest, Mysterio played interference allowing Morgan to get the finisher and then the three-count. Triple H made his way to the ring to crown Morgan the first Crown Jewel Champion.
Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens (No Contest)
The bell did not even ring as Kevin Owens began punishing his former comrade, Randy Orton. The attacks were mostly one-sided with Orton suffering most of the beating. However, The Viper looked to fight back in moments but wasn’t able to capitalise.
Owens even delivered a stunner to the referee, prompting more officials to make their way to the ring. Both managers also made their way in but Orton frustratingly delivered an RKO to Adam Pearce as well.
But Owens’ punishment did not stop as the fight made its way towards the crowds where Kevin jumped off a barricade to deliver an elbow drop onto Orton as the broadcast got cut off.
LA Knight defeats Carmelo Hayes and Andrade (via Pinfall)
Andrade and Camelo Hayes seemed to go after each other to renew their rivalry. The champion LA Knight let the two go at it, taking the smarter approach. But the two caught on and proceeded to throw the champion outside the ring.
While Knight is outside the ring, Andrade and Hayes look to go for a couple of high-flying moves, giving the champion some time to recover. He looks to make his return and attack the other two but does not make it count.
Carmelo Hayes looked to deliver the facebuster on Andrade, but LA Knight stepped in mid-way to deliver the BFT to take the win via pinfall and retain the championship.
Cody Rhodes defeats Gunther (via Pinfall)
Cody Rhodes and Gunther faced off to start things off. Both men looked to show off their grappling skills but it was clear that Gunther’s prediction was playing on Cody’s mind. Just as Gunther looked to go for the sleeper, Rhodes immediately looked to squeeze past it, showing he was well aware of the sleeper hold.
Gunther looks to continue attacking Cody with multiple submissions to wear him down. But Cody’s back seemed to give out trying to go for a scoop slam but he finds the strength to do it on his second attempt and then delivers the Falcon’s arrow. He then proceeds to deliver a super-plex off the top rope giving him some time to recover.
Cody then delivers the Cody-Cutter and goes for the pin, but Gunther kicks out at 2. The American Nightmare goes for the Disaster Kick but Gunther reverses to the Boston-Crab hold and then switches to the sleeper hold. But Cody fights back to deliver a neck-breaker and then goes on to give a Cross Rhodes.
Just as Rhodes looked to go for the finish with a Super Cody-Cutter, Gunther reversed it to a sleeper hold submission. But Cody had the last laugh with Rhodes rolling back to have Gunther’s shoulders down for the pinfall.
