Chandrapur: Governor of Maharashtra CP Radhakrishnan is set to visit Chandrapur district on October 1 to attend a tribal community festival in Pombhurna.
The governor will be the chief guest at the event, which aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the adivasi community. The gathering, organised at the sports complex grounds in Pombhurna, will begin at 3pm and is expected to draw participants from Chandrapur and neighbouring districts.
The governor’s visit follows an invitation extended by guardian minister Sudhir Mungantiwar.During a meeting last month, Mungantiwar personally invited the governor to visit the district and witness the tribal cultural festival. At the time, the governor had expressed his interest in attending the event and affirmed his commitment to supporting the rights and traditions of the adivasi community.
