Tanuj explained that while he maintains friendly relationships with many of his exes, Akshara is an exception. “I am friends with many of my exes and more than friendship, we have mutual respect for each other,” he shared. However, he admitted that the lack of respect and support during a critical moment led to their disconnect. “Sometimes when you lose respect for your partner and you don’t take a stand for them when you have to, then I may forgive but not forget,” he said, clarifying why he is no longer in touch with Akshara.
The impact of the leaked photos scandal
The leaked photos scandal, which happened after their breakup, further strained their relationship. Tanuj shared his thoughts on the incident, stating, “It has nothing to do with our breakup. But everything that happened about the leaked pictures—either you believe I have done it, or you believe I haven’t, and in that case, you need to take a stand for me. But she didn’t.” While the actor harbors no ill will, he acknowledged that the situation left a lasting impact on their relationship. “I believe everybody has their own reasons, and now it doesn’t really matter,” he added.
How the past influenced his relationship with wife Tanya Jacob
Tanuj also reflected on how his past with Akshara affected his relationship with his now-wife, Tanya Jacob. He revealed that Tanya, despite not usually guiding him on such matters, was curious about his past with Akshara when they first met. “The irony here is that I met Tanya around the time when I broke up with Akshara. We were just friends at that point… but maybe out of curiosity or concern, she did ask me about the whole episode,” Tanuj explained. He assured her with the same answer he shares now: the truth about the situation.
