The physical stray vacancy round has been cancelled by the Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal from the NEET UG medical and dental counselling. Moreover, the Directorate has revised the minimum required marks in the qualifying examination for physics, chemistry, and biology for PWD candidates. For PWD candidates, as per NMC and DCI regulations, the minimum marks required in the qualifying exams for physics, chemistry, and biology combined will now be 40 per cent instead of 50 per cent.

This means there will be no additional round of counselling to fill leftover seats after the 3 main counselling rounds of the NEET UG 2024.
WB NEET UG Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed their class 12 examination or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
Generally, candidates must have secured at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for general category students. For SC/ST/OBC category students, they must score a minimum of 40 per cent marks.
Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit for NEET UG.
WB NEET UG Counselling 2024: Schedule
The WBMCC NEET UG counselling started on August 20, 2024, after 4 PM along with the publishing of the information brochure. Applicants were able to register for WBMCC NEET counselling from August 21, 2024 (1 PM) and the last is August 23, 2024 (midnight).
Candidates who have successfully registered themselves and have completed the document verification process will be able to fill in their choices and lock them online from August 27 to August 29, 2024. The seat allotment result for the first round is scheduled to be published on September 2, 2024. Candidates who are shortlisted must report to their allotted institutes from September 3 to September 5, 2024, to complete the admission process. Online registration for Round 2 of counselling will start between September 11 and 13.
WB NEET UG Counselling 2024: How to register
Step 1: Visit the official website of WBMCC: wbmcc.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the NEET UG 2024 Counselling registration link available on the home page.
Step 3: Enter the registration details and click on submit.
Step 4: Once done, log in to the account and fill out the application form.
Step 5: Upload the required documents.
Step 6: Pay the application fees.
Step 7: Once done, download the confirmation page and take a screenshot or printout of it for future reference.
WB NEET UG Counselling 2024: Exam Pattern
The examination will be conducted in an offline mode and is pen and paper-based. It will consist of multiple-choice questions. For every correct answer, candidates will be rewarded with 4 marks, and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
