The previous TVS Jupiter 110’s design was rather simple, but the 2024 version has gone in a whole new direction. It now features large LED DRLs at both the front and rear, with integrated turn signals. The body panels are much sharper, making this one of the sharpest designs in the 110cc scooter category.

Much of the 2024 Jupiter 110’s design is derived from the Jupiter 125. The 5.1-litre fuel tank, now located under the floorboard, has a front apron opening for added convenience. Both Jupiter scooters now have the same cavernous 33-litre under-seat storage area, which can accommodate two half-face helmets. However, we were unable to fit an imported full-face helmet in the Jupiter 125 during our previous test.

The new 113cc engine is derived from the Jupiter 125 too, with peak outputs of 8hp and 9.8Nm, which is an increase of just 0.1hp but 1 whole Newton-metre. This is also due to the addition of a segment-first ‘iGO Assist’ micro-hybrid technology. This system comprises a more powerful battery than normal (recharged by the engine during deceleration) that powers an ancillary ISG motor giving you a little extra pep when you need it.

The Jupiter 110 is the only one in the category to run on 12-inch wheels shod with 90/90-12 tyres at both ends. The top variants use a 220mm front disc, with all variants making do with a 130mm rear drum brake.

A new Bluetooth-compatible digital display is available on the higher variants with turn-by-turn navigation, call & notification alerts as well as voice assist. The TVS SmartXconnect app has a long list of features that can be accessed by pairing the dash to your smartphone. The 2024 Jupiter 110 also gets start/stop technology, which should help boost fuel efficiency.

What is increasingly becoming the norm in the motorcycle world is the rapid flashing of indicators, when you apply the brakes hard in an emergency situation and that feature is now also seen on the TVS Jupiter 110. Another nifty feature is that the indicators will now automatically switch off 100m or 20 seconds after making the turn.

The 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 can be had in 4 variants – drum, drum alloy, drum SmartXonnect and disc SmartXonnect. Across all these variants the Jupiter 110 is available in six colours. Starting prices have risen by just Rs 50, although we don’t have the full price list yet. We will update this story when we receive the same. The only other 110cc scooters available in this segment are the hugely popular Honda Activa (Rs 76,684 – Rs 82,684) and Hero Pleasure (Rs 74,663 – Rs 83,113). We have ridden the new Jupiter 110 and our review will go live on Saturday (August 24) at 12 noon, so keep an eye out.
