The most awaited Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, has taken a slow start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the action-packed entertainer has collected in the range of Rs. 15 to 16 crores on the opening day. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial got some external support too, but even with that, the numbers are not up to the mark. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan opening day business benefitted from the Eid Holiday too and the number would have been around the Rs. 10 crore mark if not for the National Holiday.
The film has collected Rs. 7.75 crores across the Top 3 national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – which has contributed around 50 percent to the total business. The single screens were expected to be strong, but the mass belts have not come on board in as big a number as it was expected. All eyes are now on the weekend trend.
