Ahead of its price announcement tomorrow, Toyota has shared first set of teaser images of the Taisor compact SUV. Deliveries for the Taisor will take place by late April or early May, dealer sources have said.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: design highlights
As expected, the Urban Cruiser Taisor shares almost all its body panels with the Maruti Fronx. A closer look reveals some subtle design differences like a slightly different texture for the front grille, mildly redesigned front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheel design and a few other cosmetic bits.
On the inside, expect the Urban Cruiser Taisor to get minor shade differences on the interior trim and upholstery to differentiate it from its Maruti cousin. The SUV will come with a 9-inch infotainment screen, 360-degree camera a heads up display and a few other features and creature comforts similar to the ones seen on the Fronx.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: powertrain details
Under the hood, expect the entry-level 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine to be carried over from the Fronx. Sources tell us that the 1.0-liter Boosterjet petrol will also see duty on the Urban Cruiser Taisor. A CNG-powered variant is also expected but at a later stage.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor: competition
The Urban Cruiser Taisor will be a direct rival to the Fronx and also a long list of compact SUVs ranging from the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and the Mahindra XUV300 which will also see a major update in the coming weeks.
