Gopal Narayan Singh University’s international conference in Bihar celebrates women’s research excellence and fosters global collaboration in academia
Gopal Narayan Singh University, Bihar inaugurated the second International Conference on Women’s Research Initiatives. The three-day event, themed ‘Research Conducted by Women,’ showcased a collective commitment to advancing women’s participation in research endeavours.
The inaugural session of the conference was graced by esteemed guests, including the Governor of Bihar, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha.
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Bihar, highlighted the importance of women in multidimensional research at the inaugural session of the second international conference, he also praised the university for its dedication to promoting women’s empowerment through tailoured programmes.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister emphasised women’s crucial role in knowledge and creation at a conference aimed at bolstering India’s development agenda. Over 800 delegates and representatives from eight countries participated in seminars and discussions, emphasising women’s vital role in research initiatives.
The conference’s first day featured seminars across various departments, focusing on discussions surrounding women’s skills and related subjects. The event culminated successfully, bidding farewell to esteemed guests from domestic and international spheres. Addressing the closing ceremony, Balmukund Pandey, Secretary of the All India Historical Collection Scheme, emphasised India’s age-old recognition of the importance of women’s empowerment and their continuous reverence.
The conference also celebrated the contributions of students through poster presentations, various programmes, reinforcing the importance of their involvement and colourful performances by artists from various states.
