Aditya Birla World Academy concludes FETE 2024, a successful annual event emphasising social responsibility and community well-being
The Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA) successfully concluded FETE 2024, an annual school event, focused on driving social responsibility and community well-being. Under the theme ‘Touching hearts, Impacting lives’, student’s commitment to social responsibility was showcased through various engaging activities, such as a dance marathon and an art auction organised for fundraising including a FETE organised by parents.
The proceeds from the auction will be donated to several NGOs that work with the students closely throughout the year as well as for the school-led CAS and SSR initiatives.
ABWA FETE 2024 brought together parents, students, staff and friends for an evening of fun, games, laughter and cheer with the underlying cause. A total of over 57 paintings created by ABWA students were presented for the art auction, the free-form dance marathon brought together over 500 students, stalls offering delicious food and exciting games organised on the school premises.
“The art auction exhibition proceeds are contributed to noble causes. At ABWA, we recognise the pivotal role that education plays in the nation’s advancement. The success of FETE 2024, including activities such as the art auction and dance marathon, underscores our commitment to imbibing a sense of social responsibility in our students and fostering a well-rounded education system”, Radhika Sinha, Principal, Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA), said.
The National Education Policy (NEP) advocates the integration of experiential learning, community service and extracurricular activities into the school curriculum to promote holistic development and social consciousness among students. ABWA’s philosophical bent, in sync with the NEP firmly believes that nurturing compassion and empathy in students is integral to developing life skills and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
