BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE, a cinematic tribute to the legendary musician, premiered in India in an exclusive event organised by the High Commission of Jamaica in association with PVR INOX. The film celebrates the life and legacy of Bob Marley, an icon whose music transcended borders and inspired generations with its message of love and unity.
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and produced in partnership with the Marley family, “One Love” stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as his wife, Rita. The biopic, released worldwide by Paramount Pictures on February 14, 2024, offers a poignant portrayal of Marley’s journey, from his humble beginnings to his rise as a global musical sensation. Set against the politically charged backdrop of 1970s-80s Jamaica, the film captures the essence of Marley’s revolutionary music and enduring spirit.
The exclusive premiere, held on February 15, 2024, at Delhi’s iconic PVR Priya Cinema, was attended by film critics, media representatives, brand partners, and officials from the Jamaican Embassy and PVR INOX. His Excellency, Jason K Hall, High Commissioner of Jamaica to India, emphasised Marley’s unparalleled influence on music and society, highlighting his message of peace, unity, and love as relevant today as ever.
